nice tower. Looks so poor next in some pics of Chicago skyline... Sears (or whatever the new name) completely dominates it.

this is what I thought, too! In the last pic it looks sooo tiny

But it's great to see the spire finished and the external elevator being removed!

They still have to finish the area around the base of the building.

Yes, the building plaza.

I'd imagine some interior work is still being finished on some of the condos as well.

The ST is taller. That's why it dominates.

It's no issue of the Trump Tower "looking poor."

i think the Spire turned out pretty decent at the end. It really depends from which angle and side its seen. I seriously hope they will light it up tho to improve it at night and get it in tune with the other Antennas/Spires of Chicagos awesome skyline

Spyguy, great picture. I think Trump looks great with the spire so I'm glad Daley "forced" him to include one. I also love that angle b/c it makes it look so slender. I've never been a huge fan of the pictures from the river because it looks so wide at the bottom...even though it is. There's more lighting for the spire that will be similar to the way they light up the antennaes on Sears Tower right?

Looks great, but I'm not crazy about the gap at the base surrounding the spire. Looks incomplete. I don't suppose anyone knows if they will fill that?

I'll be in Chicago next weekend, god I can't wait to see this in person! (and Aqua!)
