OT:

What is the need for this more "detailed" temperature? Will you feel any difference between 87F and 88F?
Guess no... you dont even feel it between 18C and 19C...

Anyway... i like this tower. But it somehow doesnt look so big to me... same high as former WTC but doesnt look that massive... mh

I felt the same way when looking at pictures, and still do. But, seeing it in person is another story. It is VERY massive. The pictures dont do it justice at all in my opinion.

I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but "Build it Bigger" on the Discovery channel features this building tonight 9pm central.

I did too. The host is a little annoying, but it gives a great inside look at the way it all comes together.

those ironworkers are amazing.

The host also has a big impression with the Chicago architecture by calling it the world's best. He seems to fall in love with Trump tower

Well I'm no materials expert, but I imagine that the strength of the glass is a lot better than it used to be. Also if you had proposed an all-glass building before the 60s, you'd have been laughed out of architecture school!

Like that

Sad, no? :-(

Not only does Chicago have a lot of skyscrapers but there are also so many tall ones! This is probably why it doesn't appear as large as it really is... because there's so many other large ones around it. Plop Trump Chicago in most other cities and it'd stick out like a sore thumb!
