A LOT of the taller buildings in central Chicago have parking on their lower 10-15 or so floors. The lowest part of the Hancock, the part with the translucent windows, is parking, as is the lower part of the Marina City twin corncobs. I doubt that the parking levels in the Trump are the highest, as their individual floors are all fairly large. How many levels of above-ground parking are going to be in the Waterview?

Is it just the Chicago light or do these scraper images really look so much cleaner and more impressive than elsewhere?

Look at it in February and you won't think it's so clean.

It is Fall in Chicago, the winds come off the high plains and make for wonderful, clear air and crisp light.

Just about entered the top 30 tallest buildings in Chicago, let's watch it climb to 2nd place. Some excellent photography has been posted in this thread recently. Thank you.

This keeps amusing me every time it's said To have a car park on the 15th floor sounds so weird. It sounds like they are wasting the precious floors. I'm happy to hear they're building a 15-storey high building here while u guys consider those floors only for cars I wonder why they don't make the car parks underground? Let's say 5 leves underground and the other 5-10 above ground level.

And are u saying that a guy whose car park is at the 15th floor, has to drive all those floors through to get there? That will take forever.
