Not as bad as it could be. Wasn't turned down yet. Means they're still grinding away with their lobbyists in DC.

I was googling looking for information and I just noticed that in this SEC Form 8-k second amendment to the land purchase agreement that it also explains a temporary lease of the land to a third party (Fontainebleau) that can be terminated 60 days after LVT1 takes title to the land. It says that Fontainebleau is using the land for staging. They're probably paying for all that grading.

There is no way, the city is going to move the airport anytime in the near future. They have been spending millions on expansion for some time now.

Right, they are not going to move the airport, instead they are going to add another airport, so there will be two international airports.

Then how does that help the height restrictions on the strip. Will the old airport become for smaller planes only?

Right, it's main purpose will be to alleviate the congestion at McCarran and will have no effect on the height restrictions. McCarran will remain maxed out and the new airport will take the over flow and most of the cargo.

Las Vegas Tower's site is not in the restricted area, but it's real close to it, so the planning commission is asking for their permission anyway.

What???!?! What current supertall either U/C or finished looks like this thing? It is VERY unique.

It is indeed unique (that doesn't mean that I like it though). It doesn't look like Burj Dubai. If anybody thinks that, well... than I say it looks like Russia Tower

Well... I am sure some of you guys already know that Chicago city councils just approved Chicago Spires which will be one of the world's tallest buildings today... Chicago Spires will start construction within few weeks from now. I expect that building will get approved too to join the world's tallest buildings list.
