I recommend that you read the link at the top of the first post in this thread. I think it will give you a much more realistic idea of the future of this project.

we'll see today if the meeting is still beeing held but I'm very dissapointed in the Town Advisory Board who has been telling that "LV Tower" meeting on July 18 has been postponed again until August 22.

Yeah. I'm starting to have a feeling that tower will never get built.

Going off topic here but hasn't the US got a height restriction on how tall buildings can go or is it only certain cities/zones with stricht aviation rules. The US will still be in the top 10 but if she's only allowed to go as far the the Chicago spire, I can't see US grabbing WTB anytime soon, especially with the construction boom going on in Asia and the Middle East.

If Attenaes count, strichtly speaking the Sears Tower in Chicago is still the tallest building in the world. Always considered it to be.

i dont know what this supertall is doing in vegas? this building would be much more suitable for some other city compared to this one. nevertheless, tower looks great even though renders are too bad

Who are you to ask that? What's wrong with Vegas? It's growing a hell of a lot faster than several think.

I am not surprised. I knew since months ago that this tower will not be built, at least not in its current form. They will keep delaying meetings until the height is reduced or the project is canceled.

Given the high land value of that property and all the construction activities going on around it, they will not let the place sitting empty even if the project is canceled. Something far better will rise out of that empty space, so don't be despaired.
