I am not sure if you know much about Las Vegas. Las Vegas is one of USA's fastest growing cities. Las Vegas metro area is adding more than 3,000 residents per month since before year 2000. Las Vegas is like Dubai to USA. Anything is possible in Las Vegas. If Las Vegas can do it then go for it!

I don't want to see future WTBs to get built just in Chicago or New York City. I want to see more WTBs to get built in any US cities such as Seattle, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Miami, Houston, Boston, etc. We shouldn't depend on New York City and Chicago to keep the name in USA.

San Diego? I don't think so there's a 500 ft (152m) heigh restriction from the airport..

Yes, as it is, planes almost have to fly between the buildings as they come in to land. It's pretty crazy to stand under them as they come down. The reason is because the airport is down at sea level but the city center is raised up a little bit on a hill. San Diego can barely fit the airport in and make it usable, so it won't be getting any tall buildings unless they find somewhere to make a new airport.

...for now. if your country had two of the tallest buildings and they got destroyed by terrorist, it would take your country a while to rebound too.

That has nothing to do with it. The world trade center towers were not the tallest buildings in the US, so when they were knocked down it didn't affect the US's race for tallest building. And obviously that didn't make the US afraid to build taller since just 5 years later we are building a tower much taller than our previous tallest; indeed up to the limit that a building can be built in the US without mountains of red tape. But the US probably will never have the tallest building again. There are too many countries building far above what we are willing and able to build here. It will be a long time before someone tries to break the 2000 foot barrier here, and by then there will be a ton of buildings much taller than that.

I know that. My point is to get it built anywhere than just New York City or Chicago.

My prediction is that Dubai will have the world's first super tall building construction collapse or worse yet, during a very stormy night, the point of building buildings larger then the current WTB in steps allows us to gain a trust in building buildings of that height. The fact is if we keep building taller, one day one will fall or collapse so building something 300m+ taller then the current WTB is a bad idea.

I would have to politely disagree with the above statement. I just could not see that ever happening.

nope, they're planning a new one in Miramar.. In June 2006, SDCRAA board members selected Marine Corps Air Station Miramar as its preferred site for a replacement airport, despite military objections..
