The first tower would fit in very well with dubais current skyline. The sevond tower maybe in 20 years time or so.

No I didn't, but I remember that one of them was not much different from ATKINS' proposal.

The first one is beautiful, looks a bit like the tower out of i robot! The second looks like something that happens if you give your girlfriend a soldering iron!

I love that first tower. There's some equalities with the Federation tower in Moscow. The second one by Atkins looks horrible. I really hope they won't build that kind of tower. Its design doesn't make any sense. And what's wrong with that center part of the tower? Some weird lump in the middle of the tower. I'm sure the local people won't let them build that tower. It will go throught some serious changes before it get built (if they ever build it).

The second building looks like it has leprosy.

The first one is nice though.

Don't like either of these two too much, the first is okish tough.

Any guesses about the height?
I don't know how tall the surrounding towers are, so it's difficult for me to guess.

Well... I really think this is a great tower. It's probably the best Dubai proposal in a long time (IMO). It does have that futuristic irobot feel, it has so many good features...

but you are right malec, i see the controversy What's with that huge spire??? It's 1/3 of the whole tower and it makes it look like a freaking syringe. It's a bad joke, really. I guess they figured out they can't build a world's tallest, or one that would last, but wanted a record anyway, so they went for Tallest/Longest Spire Ever. If it gets built like this, it's probably gonna keep the title forever.

Cut the spire in half, at least.
