Hmm. Shall I merely say I'd be very surprised at that.

Anyhow, a few pics from early this evening

Click my Shard Gallery for some others.

Joiner Street hoarding

Gate 1, Joiner Street/St Thomas Street (carrying in a street photography mode )

New glazing between Gate 2 and the hoist platform

and more on the eastern side of the tower

Secondary core showing level 9

Photo-fun with the glazing at the corner of St Thomas Street and Joiner street

and one more for luck

once again thankyou cybertect for your photo's. Your efforts are always appreciated.

I may be a little optimistic with my prediction. I will move it to around end of jan begining of feb for the shard to become Londons tallest.

Six months left till end of year (approx 25 weeks)

@1.5 floors a week average (25 weeks x 1.5= 37.5 floors)

37.5 floors + current 16 floors already complete = 53.5 floors by end of year

each floor approx 3.8m high (53.5 x 3.8= 203.3m)

steel construction 203.3m by end of year add the concrete core a possible 40m above steel construction.

243.3m possible by end of year.

This most likely is a load of old tosh as there are the concrete floors half way up which most likely will be formed slower than 1.5 floors a week hence my new prediction of Londons tallest by end of Jan begining of feb.

Just a bit of fun really.

Cladding doesn't get much better than this. We we're right about this one, quality all the way I can't wait to see what it will look like with more of the glass on it.

The speed at which the steel and second core have risen caught me by surprise! I hope the cladding does the same.

It's not even half-finished and already looks amazing.

One of the things that is particularly interesting is the complex steelwork, which is no doubt expensive. Here is an interesting transfer structure on the east side that supports a new column.

I need to be winning the lottery right about now. I have an appointment with destiny. An apartment in that beauty.

This will be amazing.

How many apartments will be in here, and what are the tentative prices?

I think I heard there will be 14 apartments in the building. I may be wrong...

As for prices, I haven't heard anything and as they may not be sold conventionally, it could be harder to find out. I expect them to sell someone in the region of 'a hell of a lot of money'.

Anyway I won´t let you take Katie Melua!!!

Only 14 apartments? Forget it...I believe that even for a rich man will be tough buy an apartment there...some "connections" will be helpful.
