Great photos from the Thames.
I think this is one of the most exciting projects in the world right now imo.

The southside of the Thames is getting ever more interesting.

Good to see the glass appearing above the surrounding buildings in that last photo! That glass looks stunning!
One criticism though - it looks like the glass hangs out into the air at the side of the buildings for absolutely no purpose - what a waste of resources!

And it looks like the core has made another jump. Interesting that you could just see the 36 beginning to appear in yesterday's photos, but in the one's from today the 36 is clearly visible. I'd have thought there's a floor and a half inside that black tarpaulin so they must be pouring on No.38 now.
Those floors on 36 are going to be soooooo small what with the glass inclining at 6 degrees all the way up!

But that's part of what makes it "shard"-like...

I was a little unsure at first about the cladding when there was only a few pieces, but now i know what it looks like in large parts i now think its excellent. Really high quality.

I'm in love with the quality of glass being used on this building. Such perfection in shape and clarity.
I do wonder though just how many birds will fly straight into it!

Great Updates. I bet this will be one of the most photographed and filmed buildings in London during the Olympics.

I hope it becomes an attraction for films just like the Gherkin.

Maybe this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer. What type of window washing system have they come up with for a building like this???

Why hasn't this troll been banned? He pops into London threads and insults the projects without giving any kind of reasoning for doing so, it comes off as though his insults are leveled at these schemes just because they're in London. When you're insulting one of the best schemes in the world with comments like that, the driving force behind them becomes quite blatant.

It's silly though - and at £10k a window or something it's a waste - across all sides it must add up to more than a million pounds. In a few sets of photos you can see the 2 panels hanging out in the air. And with them hanging into the air how will anyone adjust the built-in-blinds. The window is out there, beyond the building!!!
Also regarding the glazing - I'm curious how they will reduce the window number as the building narrows as it rises... we haven't seen any obviously "odd", "non-rectangular" windows... maybe this is why there's windows hanging off the edge? Maybe studying the renders will make it clear...
