Wow, the cladding looks beautiful. I love how transparent it is. Can't imagine how good it will look - even from far away - in the London skyline once it's completed.

Great shot! I love how this tower will just dominate the neighborhood. Maybe the Empire State Building of London.

Will be the tallest in the European Union upon completion, not in Europe though, thanks to those pesky Russians and their towers.

Actually it will most likely be the tallest in Europe upon completion, since I believe it will top out/finish long before Moscow's Mercury City Tower.

So it was taken from a balloon....for a minute I thought it might be from Crystal palace tv mast, until I saw the second pic!

I had no idea you could take hot air balloon rides in London (outskirts). It’s a shame the whole skyline is filled by flight paths. Just think of the possibilities!!!

Rite check this out guys, very interesting webcam set up to capture the rise of The Shard. (sorry if this has been posted before)
