Based on that blue schematic diagram above (which seems to match what's being built) I figure we have: 37 full width floors (last one visible in that image above) currently.
- 15 in the next setback (allthough the setbacks aren't quite even as one side sets back one floor later)
- 15 in the one after that
- then 3 in the top bit
= 70 concrete floors total.

Excellent work!

I love that part when the core had stopped growing for a few weeks and then suddenly jumps a number of floors.

It looks like the only ugly thing about the Shard is the reflection of that concrete hospital it gets on its glass.

The glass looks amazing! and that time lapse video is excellent.
I think Guys Hospital would look better with a new facade or even just a clean up, but obviously the NHS hasnt got money for this.
Guys is a good example of Brutalist architecture and London is full of Brutalist buildings so maybe it shouldnt be renovated, but I'm sure the Shard will outshine Guys Hospital.

The cladding is stunning! I'm looking forward to see this building at night, with hundreds of lights on under this crystal cladding.

I made my first ever visit to the Shard today! Below are some photos from my maiden viewing...

Seen from the platforms at London Bridge station.

Guy's, reflected in the Shard's new cladding.

No picture can truly describe how imposing and impressive the building is, and it's not even at half height yet...

A comparison between Shard and Guy's, as though there were a comparison. I never minded Guy's in pictures, but in person I was alarmed by just how filthy it looked...

Seen from the road up to the front of London Bridge station. This is IMO the most impressive angle to hit it from.

Finally, a view from Cannon Street station. Here I experienced my first true interruption from station security, something that I don't get as much as you'd expect for a railway enthusiast. After I went and spoke to the station manager the matter was settled surprisingly quickly!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures half as much as I enjoyed being there!

Some stunning views there!

The last picture gives a bit of an idea of the true scale of this massive beast.

there are a few plans floating around to reclad the hospital - or at least part of it, though after a flurry of images and small bits of info it all seems to have gone quiet.
