Hi All,

I'm new to this site so please be kind to me. Fascinated with what's going on in the world structurally, the London Bridge Tower project is interesting and amazing! It's rising so fast now!

I'm curious about how much interest the Shard will rise among the film industry.

what's with so many people hating on guy's tower? i think it's an awesome piece of brutalist architecture. i'd be sad to see it reclad, or even cleaned for that matter (i think the grittiness works in its favor). once the shard is done the contrast between the two will be great. i'd really hate to live in a lot of your guys' ideal cities, i'd imagine most of them would have extremely redundant architecture.

Me Too I think it will be interesting to see how the film industry incorporates new landmarks into large film projects. I wonder when the building is complete will it receive a lot of media attention in the news? I think its likely as it will be the new tallest in the European Union.

Any thoughts?

This tower will change the image of London forever. It's going to be the XXI Century symbol of the city. I think it will receive a lot of attention from media and from people around the world visiting London.
I wouldn't be surprised if it became more popular among visitors than let say "Big Ben" or Tower Bridge.
