I wonder how high those 4 cranes on each side will go. They shouldn't be needed all the way to the top. Plus that would be pretty scary being attached so far from the core.

I'm somehow baffled by those red tubes you can see on each floor. They are quite Renzo Piano-ish as they remind me of Beaubourg, but I can't decide whether they fit in the building or not. I was moreover expecting the cladding to look more blue even from up close, but I think it's too early to draw any definitive conclusion. The project is extremely interesting though.

I know that once i get to London I will use up half of memory card in my camera for the shard alone.

its great to see that finally london has got a decent tall skyscraper ! the current tallest 2 are the ugliest pieces of shit i have ever seen ! Totally embarrasing for a city like London if u ask me !
