Some pics from Wednesday. Beautiful winter light at lunch time. Although the very clear blue sky did expose the dust spots on my camera's sensor mercilessly, so it took a little work cloning them out.

As usual, more from the day are available in my Shard Gallery.

I noticed some services ducting has crept into the frame above Level 2 on St Thomas Street.

62 was visible below the rig as I went through London Bridge station this morning, so it's now at 63rd.

I went down Snowsfields and cut back through Great Maze Pond instead of straight up St Thomas Street on Wednesday to get some different angles to normal, so I bypassed that end of the site.

Closest I have of recent shots

Looks like the floorplates of this tower are going to be too small for that concrete core.

That's an illusion, a simple drawing based on cybertects picture. Also notice how tall this tower will look...

Massive. This tower should start rising more quickly now as the floor area gets smaller and smaller

I may be duplicating an old observation here, but the official site has a handsome video render/flythrough video under the 'film' heading:

I think the building looks a little bit weird at the moment...
But the design is very cool! A great addition to this beautiful city!
Will it be openend to the public before the Olympic Games 2012?
