I don't know whether I should be more astonished at how quickly this building is rising or how slowly the WTC rebuilding is going. I suspect a little of both is in order.

Have to say that this is one beautiful and impressive tower though. Congratulations to London on doing it right.

WTC has really been shooting up lately. Steel on it is actually about 120 feet (~37 meters) higher than the steel on the Shard. Plus it's a much larger building.

Still, Shard is flying and is beautiful.

Sorry but to compare the Shard and The Eiffel Tower is like comparing apples with oranges. Both are or in the case of the Shard will be Icons of their respective time periods. Both have their own beauty and are gems of their city

In many ways to me this building shouldn't fit in with its surroundings, but somehow, it just kind of... does... its a great building
