not forgetting the statue of Justice on the top of the Old Bailey in between the two, and the railway shed of London Bridge poking into the bottom of the picture.

Four of the most obvious symbols of London's past and its future and what it's exported to the world in religion, transport, justice and commerce summed up in one photo, with nothing else to distract.

Great photo. Superb.

I thought your comment had something to do with the imagery of the sun rising on the Shard and setting on St. Paul's Cathedral

I was thinking the fire on the shard's cladding- reminiscent of the fate of old St pauls.

And it'll look even better with the building lighten up.

I would love to see this from the top of 1 New Change

I saw it from the top of the Monument back in October and it looked huge!

Have not been to the monument for years! How the views will look in 2013 is so exiting!

And the shard's cladding never looks bad- especially brilliant from that One New Change viewing platform... I'll go up there soon!

The more cladding goes on, the more I am loving Shard. The quality of finish is beginning to look so good. Interesting construction simulation, similar video has been posted before I think -
