the reflection of the backpacks steel is deceptive so it makes it look like it continues into the building if you get what I mean

This tower is like a Brazilian woman: very big on the bottom and small on top.

Called "Tower View" by the developers: some apartments (with a café on the ground floor) built on the corner of Tower Bridge Road and Tooley Street about five years ago.

I've never been able to pin down for sure who the architects were, though I've seen a suggestion on a local forum that it was Upchurch Associates.

Id like the building more if the contractors stopped cutting through the BT lines and making my customers lose internet

Good to see London is trying to catch up with the skylines of other big cities around the world But the skyline is not what makes London so beautiful though.

I agree. For me those new skyscrapers u/c are going to be just (nice) icing on the (very nice) cake.

What is the purpose of the backpack here? No one else seems to complain about it - probably because we are getting such a great tower - but it does seem to ruin it a bit for me. In fact, it really pisses me off, it ruins the slenderness of the tower at some angles. And if they stick that pointless spire on it, I won't be happy. I just wanted the Shard to standalone, not with some groundscrapery turd tagged on to the back of it.
