We do need it to be filming public property tho - i.e Network Rail aren't going to give us permission to come and film from their paltforms.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Personally, Nick, I think keep it simple - London Bridge and anywhere along that north side of the river there will provide you with a really good largely unhindered view of the development- unless you have a helicopter, you may get a decent shot like this -

Obvious candidates IMO

St Thomas Street/Borough High Street, if you can get wide (tends to be fairly busy with pedestrians though).

St Thomas Street/Bermondsey Street

To the east...

Rotherhithe Street SE16, gives a decent sense of scale with Tower Bridge. Bermondsey Wall East, a little further west may be slightly more accessible with a car.

I think you might also do well at Wapping High Street, but it's the wrong side of the river for me.

To the west...

Southwark Street

The north side of the Millennium Bridge affords a useful view

That's going to be an interesting photo in a year or so with the two "steeples" next to each other.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is going to built in that picture above with the 3 cranes in the foreground and the Shard in the background?
