Really nice shape and cladding. It's a pity The Shard is apart of The City !
It will look amazing if they will form a cluster...

I think if the shard was in the city people would not appreciate it as much.
I mean having too many iconic buildings all next to each other such as the gherkin, Bishopsgate tower, the Leadenhall tower and the shard would be too much

Empire Square with the barometer looks really small. The barometer is light blue tonight. Does anyone actually use the colour scheme to assess the atmospheric pressure? Amazing how quickly a tall building blends into the background after initially being widely discussed.
And the BLUE tubes around the top of Tower42 have been off for two weeks now.

You can see mountains from space so why not so high buildings.

Btw for the people who don't know; the Chinese Wall isn't visible from space.

I wonder how many others share my liking for buildings at this stage of construction. The mind has all the elements in view to envision the completed tower, yet all the elements - core, superstructure, skin are temporarily still visible.

I asked two family members over the hols how they thought about the Empire State in the worst days of the Great Depression. A reminder, they said, that we hadn't lost imagination or expertise or possibilities.

That tower is going to look spectacular on the skyline. But seeing that its narrowing towards its summit, it wont bear much space.
