LOVE that last pic- old vs new! One of my favourites of the shard I've ever seen on this site!

Tell me, Where was that pic taken rob?

That view is from where the 'massiveness factor' is more noticeable because everything else looks so tiny compared to the Shard.

On Southwark Street, just east of the railway bridge. The building on the left is called The Hop Exchange, which may give you a clue to it's former purpose

Hi,

All I wanted to say is that this building is one of the best investments that happened to London in years. It's very beautiful, have a great localisation and in a way is very London. It's going to be one of the best landmarks, another to a big collection.

But the best thing is that it looks great from all places from which you can see it. Tourists gonna love it

best regards

Seems like the cladding has reached the shorter concrete levels at last.

iPhone snap about 15 minutes ago

edit:

for the purposes of comparison, here's a view of the same area, cropped from one of the photos I took yesterday lunch time.

You can see where the new glass fits in on the next level up, which is concrete frame.

According to anthonySE1 they are currently pouring level 53.

Apartments: 53-64
Viewing Gallery: 65-66 (244m)

So 13 floors left to pour.

'I stand to be corrected.'

The slanted facades of the building give it a sleeky look.
