I like it, because it respects traditional London streetscapes... It looks older than it is.

BTW, SO143, if you're posting images from Flickr, whether or not it's your own photo, make sure you include the link back to the Flickr page.

Otherwise Flickr will ban SSC again and none of them will work.

@Cyber thanks for you concern

All the unsourced pictures posted so far are my own photos.

If they are not mine, you will see credit/original photographer name on both above and below (flickrlink) the pictures.

I have never failed to do that as i respect copy rights and i know how photographers feel about that kind of issue.

That's well and good, but you missed my point. It's nothing to do with copyright and everything to do with Flickr's T&Cs (which you agreed to when you signed up for a Flickr account).

Let me try it again with some emphasis added

then read the links I provided.

Once you've done that, you will understand why you need to add links back to the Flickr photo pages for your own photos.

A few pics from today

North end of Bermondsey Street

Whites Grounds, with the Museum of Fashion and Textiles in the foreground

A little bit further up Whites Grounds by the railway line

Four-shot vertical pano from the junction of St Thomas Street and Snowsfields

I'm finding it odd that almost everyone stops in front of it being amazed by its hight despite it's not much higher than 1 Canada Square as yet, and no one gets this wow-effect at 1 Canada Square!

I'm still not finding it more impressive than Guy's to be honest, dunno whether it's because I see it every day but it just doesn't look more impressive than any other skyscaper in London to me! lol

A few snaps with my phone on the way to work this morning

[that appears to be the same load of steel that was waiting in the Shard Holding Area as yesterday lunch time]

The shape, the location and the cladding make plenty of difference from OCS.
