The rest of us just have to wait a year or so (or does it open to the public in 2013) to enjoy those views in person.

OMG I saw these same things in the sky over the mid Wales border where my dad lives. I saw stars as it was a clear night and then they seemed to move, slowly at first and I thought I was seeing things until now. They moved a bit quicker, and faster and then changed direction as quick as a laser pen would if you were moving it around. I've kept it to myself for over a year and now I see exactly the same phenomenon over London! BAE systems is either up to some crazy shit or we have some serious issues!

I should imagine they'll want the viewing deck open for the 2012 olympics! (I wonder if it'll be free?)

I imagine it's not impossible but if I was you I wouldn't go on site as you'll probaly get a hefty fine if your caught.
I'd just wait for the skydeck to open.
