Weekend bonus: a few snaps wot I took before catching my train home this evening, including the top section of TC7 being delivered at Gate 1.

e2a: you can also see how the finish of the white columns is coming along.

You know what, I was looking at it wrong I think. I was just curious as to weather we will see the red blind boxes permanently or that they will be covered eventually by the gray blinds.

Great shots btw, Rob.

Hmm... the gaps between the facets were a lot wider in the render - they added a proper vertical emphasis and really broke up the stacked shards of glass. they were also better related in width to the facade widths... I'm really disappointed to see how narrow these gaps are now, or how narrow they appear.

Generally, this photo comparison doesn't reassure me.

There's a new section opened up on the platform side and some of the old structure has been taken out, but nothing too dramatic.

I've been a bit wary of taking photographs after being stopped twice in the last month and I'm usually on my way to or from work.

I don't have the time to spend ten or fifteen minutes going to the station office, answer a lot of questions, sign myself in; go take just a couple of pics with my phone and then go back to the office again to sign out.

Surely, it's a nightmare to take pictures in any London station, rail, tube, anything. Written updates will do.

Due to the forced perspective of the tapering sides, images of the Shard make it look about 4 or 500 meters tall, despite it's under 300m at the moment.

Absolutely stunning!

The Monument (http://www.themonument.info/panorama/). There is a great vantage point of the City from there too.
