Top of the core is about 245m. Same as it has been since Christmas.

A few snaps taken today

Reflection in the side of 6 More London

West side of the core from the bus station this evening

North side columns that are looking close to a finished state

Hurriedly grabbed shots inside the station. These are the same columns seen above.

And finally, a rather exciting development: a start has been made on the canopy along Joiner Street.

Amazing how such a bit of new roof in the station can make it look so much better already.

That is one hell of a pretty image. I like the way the building rises at the background.

This may seem controversial, but from a distance of 2 miles (Limehouse Station, Hungerford Bridge) the Shard looks amazingly tall and slender. However, the nearer I get, the less tall and impressive it feels. Only for me to gaze in awe once again when I stand at the bottom and crane my neck (pardon the pun) and look up. Maybe I should simply just look at it from over two miles or at the bottom.

It is always like that. I have the same feelings. Big buildings look great from the distance and when you stand next to them, this magic disappears, you don't 'feel' this height.

I love the tower....totally gorgeous, great design.

But I absolutely HATE the location. I know my opinion doesn't really matter, coming from a non-uk member, but I just hate to see such a historical area totally thrown off balance with this. I have the same feelings towards U.S. cities recently....the older and more historic they become, the less and less I want to see new blobs of buildings placed smack in the middle of historical areas. Maybe I'm wrong......but I can't help to feel a little sad over it :/
