Yeah wouldn't it have to considering it comes to a point (a shard) at the very top?

Maybe it's got a pointy core.

Why can't the developers just splash a few hundred grand more in to the budget to cover Guys with a new glass coating... its in their interests after all if they are going to be selling the building as the high quality thing it is..

Why would developers spend money on a public hospital just to make it 'pretty' and why that hospital specifically? That would be very controversial. The NHS is the one who has to take action.

Looks like TC8 has done it's job, it should be taken away any day soon.
I heard that TC8 will be removed in July 2011.

I spent a week in London this month. Wow, what a city. Out of all my travelling its definitely my favorite city.

The Shard looks gorgeous. I snapped some nice pictures from the top of the Eye.

I walked by the Pinnacle site. Shame nothing is going on. That's my most anticipated highrise going up in the world.

I'm not worried in the slightest. People said the era of tall buildings was "over" after 9/11. They said that there wouldn't be any more skyscrapers after the economic crisis began in 2008. Just give it time, and people will want to build again. I think it's human nature to want to create the magnificent instead of the mundane.
