People don't really understand that London is one of the busiest major cities in terms of construction as only a small percentage is highrise.

Was in Spoleto, Italy a few years ago and they use small cranes for just about every residential building project. There is no space to store building materials so they are lifted by crane to the roofs or into the building thru the windows. It was weird being in a small town and seeing 20 plus cranes attatached to 3 story and up homes. I imagine the high density of London is similiar but have never seen a crane attached to a rowhouse in Knightsbridge. LOL.
