As incredible as this building looks in some of these pictures, it's even 10x better when you see it in real life. Such a commanding presence on the London skyline, and also a real compliment to the surrounding streetscape when viewed up close. The whole Southwark/Bermondsey area feels like it's got a new lease of life at the moment, amazing really what just one building is capable of doing for a city.

Meteorologially, this evening was the complete opposite of this morning. Something of a blessing.











Some details of the canopies being erected on the north and west sides of the base of the building. There's a delightful play of shadows from the etched pattern on the glass when the light is right.

It was taken from a roof at work. I shouldn't really go up there, but it's very hard to resist! Nice photos BTW


In the "flesh" I think it looks huge! The effect of the tapering perspective and the reduced floor hight halfway up makes it look taller then it really is.
