^ the 2nd one looks nothing like the shard and i've no idea why he thinks they look the same or similar

this is how the shard will look like when the spire is installed



i personally think the shard looks similar to bank of america tower in new york, very identical in terms of cladding/glass

Yeah I think he was just comparing the fact that they are both pyramids, Bank of America is quite like a bulky shard , with a bit less finesse, and worse cladding.

its just a matter of taste and the criticism will be different depending on personal preference

i actually do prefer the cladding/glass of bank of america you know, it looks sexy and very appealing to me

Yes, the Shard´s cladding now looks cheap, but wait till its finished and wait until they throw out the paper stuff that covers about a 40% of each window

plus being up close to the tower you realise the glass is filthy...when its all cleaned it will look pretty amazing.

Well, you can see the difference with the clean, new panels they've been putting in where they're not needed any more for the hoist.
