The tower looks amazing. I'm sure it will be topped out before the summer Olympics begin. Few expected that this would ever be the tallest building in Europe.

I thought it was meant to be transparent colour ( like pure glass of shard )

Looks good to me. You may see 'dull and lifeless' because it is currently dirty. Window washing did wonders for the Burj Kahlifa.

looks less dull when it's cleaned, you can kind of see it here. I suspect renders are always going to be a bit shinier than reality will muster

edit: damn, I knew there was a shot with an even starker grubby/clean panel contrast visible - couldn't find it and by the time i posted the closest I could find, Scrapernab had beat me to it!

Don't forget also that it also has the protective sheeting over the windows. Once those are removed and the glass is cleaned, it will look a lot better than it does currently.

Lets hope so, because if its going to look like it currently does then that will be one big let down.

I think it depends on the light, brightness and weather condition as well. You'll see the different colour based on these factors.

Here are two shots taken in the early morning

You see how the bottom half of each row of windows is white? It's sheeting that will be removed once the building is complete.
