A 21st century Transamerica Pyramid, ja!

In some way, I'm getting to like it more. But still, Bishopsgate will be the more striking tower I think.

Good question, there is no flat roof so work with smaller cranes is impossible I think, certainly because the crane is a considerable distance from the building.

what a quality tower, the glass/panels/windows seem clearer, cleaner and more visible now, absolutely spot on 10/10

I guess it'll disassemble itself, as most of the cranes of this type do

Which is also how they erect them.

That's fine if the crane goes all the way down to the ground.

This one starts at the 57th floor, though.

I suggest they'll pop another crane up out of the top of the finished spire and use that to dissemble the current crane.

yes, it was stated by someone who is in the know that a permanant crane sat on the very final floor of the shard will take this one down.

i reckon......the white crane will climb down to its installed position, then a derrick crane assembled in the mechanical plant levels or just below, will pop out and disassemble the rest to the ground. this crane isn't permanent, it will be taken apart and brought down in the service lift, which'll take 3.5 ton.
