Oh yeah I'm pretty sure it'll be externally complete by then.

That's a good observation. I am thinking the same thing too. Getting a close image would explain that better. I still wonder what it is meant for.

Huge difference between the panels that have been cleaned and those that havent. I would think in the summer with the sun out the cladding will be so shiny it will be hard to look at from certain angles.

Does anyone know how much its going to cost to stay in the hotel when open?

Should I start to save up or take out a bank loan

Well well! So the lighter patches of cladding are simply the newly cleaned areas! Now, in order to continue my worrying theme, this tower really does pick up the grime! Will 'keeping the shard shiny' become the new 'painting the Fourth Bridge'

They are the panals that have been cleaned, you can see them corrisponding to the openings where the machanical arm can reach.

There's loads of excess dust and metal fragments falling down onto the glass panes from the work being done above. Once construction has finished, the windows will be easier to keep clean.

this render below shows how the shard will look like when it's fully constructed and the glass/panels are cleaned.

Thanks for that render. The top of this building is one of it's most appealing features. It almost looks like some sort of modern sculpture and is one of my favorite projects.

I saw the tower 2 months ago and they were already cleaning the glass somewhere, the difference is huge, anyway I was hoping for a better shiny cladding than this one, hopefully will look better after final polishing!

I will be back to the shard next weekend!yay!
