This will be one of the most stunning buildings in the world for a long time to come.

I knew that top render might be a new one. Saw it in one of the company presentations last week.

Amazing set of renders.

Absolutely stunning! I still can't quite believe this is really going to happen!

I think the fact they bothered to make this amazing video and these renders shows they are serious about getting this done!

Somehow the old renders seem to make it look a lot different to the new ones. I'm not complaining though. If it looks like it does in the renders, stunning it will be.

the video looks stunning, and the tower will look great with the river in the same shot.

I was hoping the new one was gonna be grey colour not blue, it doesn't blend in with the sky.

I don't like Piano's design, but this is very nice indeed.

It's a render mate, you know? The light also changes properties according to the time of day etc? It will not be blue glass.

Oh you don't like his design and design philosophy in general you mean. I'm glad you like this though.

It'll probably look a lot darker than the renderings with the glass they use. It'll be approaching the darkness of the Gherkin, or maybe lighter like Plantation Place

From the website -

"The Shard will use an advanced type of glass with a low iron content that means it is completely clear, rather than having the greenish tinge of most architectural glass. "If you use low iron glass you end up with something that really is like crystal", he says. "It's going to be more vibrant and changing. So depending on the day, the light and the position of the sun, the building will look different".
