January 2009 for the piling/foundations. But the core/superstructure won't be rising until mid-2010.

Yeah exactly, spend 8 months doing a full study of the building to discover the correct way to destroy it, then another 3 months laying explosives... evacuate everyone within a mile radius of the city of london for a day.... explode it.... spend 3 months cleaning up.... spend a fortune fixing all the collateral damage... and we'd be finished in no time !

I should be able to see this tower from that high point in the Cheam high street (South London) can't I? I can see top part of tower 42 and 30 St Mary axe already, so most definately able to see this one as well!!

there was a huge drop in real estate market in london today (over 7%). thats bad. it wont effect this project or others will it?
