The tower looks amazing. The English Heritage should launch a campaign to protect the view of it. Just joking, I want to see more skyscrapers (preferably supertalls) in London.

This has been in the news alot recently though (not sure why!), ive seen it in at lease two news papers (The Sunday Express and my local paper), so im guessing the post is justified and isn't 'feeding the trolls'...

Im also remaining reserved about the Guy's reclad, from the plans ive seen it will probably look worse then it does now...

Great building and the glass is just fantastic, the way it seems to change color depending on the weather and the angle.

Just a shame it, too, has fallen victim to the British habit of tacky nicknames for tall buildings.

Hey guys, I made a video on the Shard construction progress so far. I have used images form this website and have credited them as from skyscrapercity. Is this OK? If not, I can remove the video straight away when I'm online next. Thanks for watching!

Tacky? It's proper East End. You can't say 'shard' without slipping into a Cockney accent. It's better than naming it after some redneck businessman like the Burj Khalifa, Trump Tower or Willis Tower.
