[/] it currently is, however Mercury City Tower in Moscow whilst not topped out is currently taller than the Shard. The Shard is really only the tallest externally complete building until Mercury City finishes in 2014/2015

im not trolling, and this is just my personal opinion, but i cant stand the glass they have chosen on The Shard. Its way too clear. I hate it when you can see the internal concrete and insides of the building. The glass should have been more reflective or darker...

Apparently this finishes externally and internally in July 2012, and the observation deck opens in Feb 2013.

Don't know, I agree with Misty. Much classier just lit heavily with white light in my opinion. Each to their own though and sure it will make a positive impression on many.

At least the effort is being made.
