I took another tour along the north side of the Thames on my way into the office this morning.

I guess now that the Shard's pretty much complete, the steelworkers need something else to work on.

I thought someone said a few years back that this would not be finished before the Olympics.

Always the plan to be completed externally, internally there is still a long way to go before anyone can move in.

Pride in the job? Would a car in a showroom waiting to be sold be left to accumulate bird shit because nobody owns it yet? This building so far has cost a vast amount of money, and will have to earn that back by attracting people to spend vast amounts of money either living, working or staying at the hotel.

The marketing of the shard as a destination has been going some time. It would help if it were clean. All of it, not just patches here or there.

This tower looks amazing! London already has a original and beautiful skyline.

That's for the tower, not the place

I thought the Shard was already completed..? Isn't the interior finished yet? Isn't the exterior finished yet? Can anyone answer me?

It topped out months ago. The exterior is almost finished save a few panels where the external hoist is / was. It's still quite dirty (don't get involved in that arguement) and the interior isn't even close to finished.

NEXT!
