I think it was a bad design decision not to have the glass wall reaching all the way to the ground. If it was from the ground up it would look more like a shard of glass sticking out of the ground. Looks too artificial the way it is.

This continues to get a fair amount of updates. I know you London folk are on this site... what is the deal with many of the other threads? St. George Wharf hasn't been updated in over a month! Neither has 150 Stratford High Street. They are both near to topping off, and both pushed all the way back to page 6 of the highrise section. Can we get some new pics of these other towers please?

I like it... but not that much...

I think that this tower doesn't really fit in London, maybe I get used to it, but I don't know... Something that really gets me mad is how our buldings are becoming so similar to asian style buldings... I don't know why this is happening, but I don't like it at all!

Agreed. I also saw 25 Churchhill Place on page 5. Those towers must be Tier 2 towers in their eyes or something. I literally had to go peak into the London construction forums in order to view updates on those towers.

I have to disagree - this tower is very london and not Asian. Firstly it reflects London church spires and the shape of ship masts that docked in the Thames. More importantly it has exposed metal floors at the top - this reflects an industrial futurist theme that runs through out many new London buildings - check out 122 Leadenhall / Heron tower north side / Lloyds and several others.

a few pics to show what I mean

Try looking at the threads in the London section.
