A few snaps with my phone from this morning. The lobby area around the station entrance has finally been opened up, revealing the new escalator down to the tube station.

I also noticed a branch of WH Smith was being fitted into one of the shop units on my way back this evening.

Quick and dirty 3-shot pano from the phone

Yeah, I have to agree, perhaps what made me find it very similar to asian styles is the format and shape. Usually western buildings are much more sober and with elegant vertical lines.

I happen to agree with that opinion Guys Hospital is oppressively bad, and the re-clad only offers a minimal improvement.
Who cares? It's a functioning hospital and so what goes on inside is more important. We don't live in a fantasy world where we can tear down any old building that doesn't suit our tastes, so people should just accept it for what it is, it isn't going anywhere. And it is shit, but it's no worse than most commieblocks that are dotted around most of Europe.

One hopes that our multitudinous flickr users return to the same locations when 122LH and 20FC take shape.
