There is a LOT of work going on within the area at the moment. The road is being dug up along St Thomas St and scaffolding going up along the arches. There is a temporary office block and loads of construction workers were going into/hanging around the arches last night (Sunday). Looks like the starting phase of the London Bridge station redevelopment is finally under way.

The whole area will look completely different one it's done.

St Thomas Street this evening.

Road closure due to Thames Water's replacing the water mains and the black hoardings have come down (mostly). A little more progress on the canopies.

The escalator by the station concourse that currently goes to nowhere.

I think the Tour montparnasse is ugly, but also I think any tall building there should be avoided. Because it would ruin paris. imagine this beautiful city full of modern skyscrapers and tall buildings. It would completely ruin it. Even now I wish tour montparnasse was never built.

Out and about round The Shard at lunch time - the last one shows scaffolding for the rebuilding of London Bridge Station, which is gathering pace.

Beautiful skyscraper London!, that glass , ( I'm not American) but I actually think if the Washington Monument was ever replaced, the Shard would be perfect for Washington D.C, albiet a little smaller version

First pic was taken early a.m. yesterday, the rest from the evening, mostly progress on the remaining canopies on St Thomas Street.
