I think its about 309.5 or something and people just tend to round it up to 310m. Definitely isn't 304

the actual and official height of the shard is 1016 feet tall and eurasia tower is 1 feet taller than the shard.

The Shard is 310.3 m. tall if measured from average sea level. The height of 306 m. is taken from the lowest, significant, open-air, pedestrian entrance, per the criteria used by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. They have viewed section drawings to verify these figures.

You should see the discussion we had regarding the issue in the Hudson Yards thread. Britain has a nasty habit of using AOD height instead of AGL height to measure their buildings.
