Lunchtime today. I only had my 50mm and 35mm lenses with me, so no close ups or super-wide shots

I took my 70-200 into the office with me today and took a few snaps down at the site again at lunch time, though I'm starting to think I need something like a 300mm or 400mm to capture the action properly...

These little prism boxes are dotted around the brick structure of London Bridge Station; this one's in Stainer Street. I imagine they're to help measure movements of the structure and may have been put in place as part of the Shard project - or they could just be something that Network Rail does/did anyway.

Traffic Marshal at Gate No. 1

Close-up of some of the new external steel work

Concrete delivery

Its final destination in the basement

Slab reinforcement being installed before concreting

Welding pegs to the plunge columns

The big diggers have almost all disappeared from site; this is what we have left

Gratuitous crane shot

As usual, there are a few other pics I haven't posted here that can be found in my Shard gallery

The site may not be big but everything else is so HUGE.

Look at the workers compared to the steel bars. And this is just the beginning.
