Iran dont do "international trade", Iran only does Iranian trade.

Iran get to sell it's Samands in Turkey and Turkey get to sell it's locally assembled megans in Iran. This is how Iranian trade works. lol.

an eye for an eye, a car for a car.

Is it me, or are you trying to mock Turkey here ? I hope you're not.

I can understand that you are proud of Iran's emerging auto industry but there's no need to put down Turkey here.

Megan Banned in Response to Samand Import Suspension

Iran Khodro Bond Offer in December

TEHRAN, Nov. 19--Given that Turkish authorities suspended the import of Iran-made Samand sedan due to some unfounded reasons, Iranian Ministry of Industries and Mines slapped a ban on the import of Megan sedan.
Manouchehr Manteqi, managing director of the Iran Khodro Industrial Group, told Fars that Turkish authorities banned the imports of Samand while making false claims about the Iran-made sedan being sub-standard and not covered by after-sale services, adding, however, that the ministry imposed a ban on Renault Megan due to the same reasons.
He hoped that the dispute would be settled by the Iran-Turkey Economic Committee which is to study the obstacles to Samand and Megan trade in December.
He further referred to the distribution of Iran Khodro participation bonds, noting that feasibility studies were conducted and the bonds would be offered in December as soon as his company and the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) reach an agreement in this respect.
He added that one billion rials worth of Iran Khodro participation bonds would be offered with a profit rate of 17-17.5 percent, which is two percent more than the lending rate.
Pointing to the recent import tariff cuts in Syria, Manteqi said that Samand sedan has been exempt from tax for 10 years and the tariff of Complete, Knocked Down (CKD)--a complete kit which is needed to assemble a vehicle--were set at 40 percent in coordination with the CBI as part of efforts to maintain the economic viability of the national sedan production line in Syria. He added that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad is empowered to levy a special kind of value added tax known as ’Refahiat’ on different sedans to support the Syrian auto-manufacturing industry.
He argued that imposing value added tax on the sedan is to the benefit of the Syrian Samand production line.
Earlier this month, IRNA quoted Deputy Industries Minister Mohsen Shaterzadeh as saying that the Iranian designed car Samand will go on trial production within two months in Syria, predicting that that full-scale industrial production will begin two months after the trial period.

Iran’s Saipa 141 to be assembled in Venezuela
TEHRAN, Nov. 21 (MNA) – Saipa 141 passenger car will be assembled in Venezuela in the near future, Iran’s Saipa Group announced on Tuesday.

The Iranian auto manufacturer also plans to establish a Pride production line in Syria where this boxy compact is already being exported. Damascus has been the number one destination for 730 sedans sold abroad last month, earning Saipa four million dollars in forex.

Among the exports, Rio by Hyundai can be noted in Saipa’s inventory.

Gone are the radio-cassette, A/C and power windows in the exported versions with watered-down 1100 cc engine for Pride compared to the 1300 in domestic type.

Samand production line in Venezuela to be operational this week
TEHRAN, Nov. 25 (MNA) – The first phase of a project to produce the Iranian passenger car Samand in Venezuela will become operational in the coming days.

Productions from the first phase of an assembly line to manufacture the Iranian sedan Samand in Maracay, Venezuela, will hit the South American nation’s market on Nov. 27, this year, Iran’s major automaker Iran Khodro Co. (IKCO) said in a statement released on Saturday.

The plant’s production capacity stands at 10,000 units, however, the figure could be raised upon request, he stated adding that Iran’s share of the project amounts to 51 percent of the total investment.

The Latin American country’s auto production plant is going to offer four different models of the Iranian car, the statement quoted Manuchehr Manteqi, the managing director of Iran Khodro Co. as saying.

In light of the good relations, Iran and Venezuela have already agreed upon over 120 memoranda of understanding in various fields.

SAIPA 141 production line kicks off in Venezuela
TEHRAN, Nov. 28 (MNA) — The plant to produce Iranian passenger car of Saipa 141 came kicked off in Venezuela on Sunday.

Venezuelan high-ranking officials and the managing director of Iranian auto-maker SAIPA attended the inauguration ceremony of the plant dubbed “VEN.IR.Auto”.

“VEN.IR.Auto is planned to produce 5,000 units of Saipa 141 by the end of this year. Its final capacity is estimated at 20,000 units per year, which is expected to be fulfilled within the next three years,” Ahmad Qalebani, SAIPA managing director, said.

Noting that Saipa 141 is the first Iranian passenger car produced at the Latin American state, he added that it is supplied at the price of $7500 to 8000.

Qalebani further explained, “Iran is providing all parts of the vehicle; however, Venezuelan part-makers, under the supervision of their Iranian counterparts, will supply 35 percent of parts by the next three years.”

He added that the remaining 65 percent will be supplied by Iran.

SAIPA is planning to produce the passenger car of right-hand-drive Pride in Sri Lanka, the managing director noted.

IKCO mulling export of $10b auto parts in next decade
TEHRAN, Nov. 28 (MNA) – Iran’s major automaker Iran Khodro Co. (IKCO) aims to export auto parts worth $10 billion within the next 10 years, noted Manuchehr Manteqi, the company managing director.

“Aside from the export of automotive technology, we are able to sell abroad the know-how on auto parts as well,” he also said during a news conference held here on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mojtaba Shivapur, the managing director of SAPCO - Iran-Khodro Engineering and Parts Design Manufacturing Company - commented on the production in Syria of the Iranian made sedan, Samand, as well as automobile parts in that country.

In the first stage, 30 Iranian auto part producers are planning to manufacture the parts required by the passenger car in Syria, he said adding, however, Iranian companies are determined to raise the figure to 40 percent in the future.

The joint Iran-Syria Samand production plant will have a production capacity of 10,000 units per year, Shivapur announced. The auto production company is expected to become fully operational in a two-year period, he stated adding that the first phase of the project will come on stream in the next three months and the second phase is expected to come into operation within the next eight months.

Iran Khodro (40 percent), Syrian Ministry of Industries (35 percent) and the private sector (25 percent) are the stockholders of the joint Iran-Syria auto production plant in Syria.

Preliminaries end for Paykan production in Sudan
TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (MNA) ? Iran?s major auto producer Iran Khodro Industrial Group is planning to transfer the production line of its domestically phased out passenger car Paykan to Sudan

Preliminary agreements have been reached between Iran and Sudan to transfer Iran?s still popular passenger car Paykan to Sudan, however, the final agreement is conditional on and subject to the loan to be granted to the project, noted on Wednesday, Iran Khodro managing director Manuchehr Manteqi. He added that negotiations are underway for the Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) to fund parts of the project.

He also commented that continuation of the production of Paykan in the North African country is a move mainly aimed at supporting Paykan part producers to compensate for the losses incurred by the phasing out of Iran Khodro?s production cycle.

The Paykan assembly line said to be installed in Sudan?s capital, Khartoum, is expected to produce 10,000 passenger cars in the first year, the figure is planned to reach 20,000 in the next year, Iranian officials had earlier commented.

After nearly forty years, Iran Khodro finally phased out production of the nation's best-selling car last year. Some 50,000 old British Hillman Hunters - the automobiles Iranian Paykan was carbon copied from in the 60s - are still plying the streets of Iran.
