I'm sure you're all correct about the building looking so much more massive in person. In the pictures it looks huge, but when you see the height of that lobby alone!!

I'm coming to New York in August for 2 months, and after dropping my luggage at my girlfriends house guess where's the first place I'm going to with my camera! Also, cheers to all the great photo contributors to this thread, although I'm 3000 miles away from New York a good set of photo updates on this thread brightens my day.

^No offense, but whats the point of bumping this thread? It already gets enough traffic to keep it on page 1

Hope that guy is okay, well 3 metres is hardly a big fall, sadly this will make a bad image on 1WTC in the future when it comes to saftey checks, lucky he's still alive.

Depends on POV. If you look at the site directly from above, you will see the trees and the pools dominating everything else.

It's the same height as the twins and there's diagram by Culwulla one page back..

I know that its the same hight as the towers once was, and I did see that diagram. But I was wondering if I can get a visual on the height of the current height of the current tower1 to its predecessor the former twins. So this way the current height of Tower 1 can compare to the height of the completed Twin Towers, so I can figure out visually comparing the two The Old VS The New on height in visual.

I know this isn't the right thread but does anyone have a similar diagram comparing WTC2 to one of the old towers? I would be very interested in seeing that.
