That's why I don't trust anymore in comments and information provided by Flickr's users... some of them have no idea of what they are photographing on...
And, as many other guys said, it's in fact the ESB (notice the floorplan of the observation deck)

Quite franky the sheer size of the building is awesome, Buts thats NOT ENOUGH for me New York or America, and the drawings with the antenae (Spire) look AWFULL....the rendering or drawings of the final product make this skyscraper look boring.

The TOP of FREEDOM TOWER SUCKS> DONALD TRUMP is RIGHT. By the modern standards of world wide Supertalls.
I agree with Donald TRUMP> And I love New York.
and I have actually been to the construction site.
Someone that worked construction labor. This is an enormous amount of work. Lots of credit to the workers.
But..........
What if the builder of Freedom Tower exceeded the height of 1776.
**** it keep building it higher. Who stops em. I guess the Port Authority.
Is anyone like Silverstein tempted to build it taller????

I think Silverstein should make this building 2500 feet tall!!!!!!!!!!! 2,700
You could engineer the glass and reshape the building. Engineering has come that far.
Like the origininal drawings.
Make this tower 2500 feet.
Make the observation deck 1776 feet.
Then antenae like 400 feet.
Why does New York & America sells itself short?

BUILD IT TALLER!!!!!
No, god just...stop. Please.

Go read about skyscraper construction. You can't decide to increase a building's height by 750 ft. when it's already halfway up. Everything that's been constructed so far has been designed and engineered to 1776 feet. You can't just "engineer the glass and reshape the building" for ****s sake.

Wish they could have put this much effort into reducing the warping on the glass itself.

it would cost far too much and in the end would not be worth the effort. Only the glass of a telescope lense is worth the time and expense.

The only problem with this forum reaching 1000 pages is that half of them are not worth reading. (I am being kind.)

Went down to site yesterday. Absolutely incredible scale that you can only envision by actually being there. Such a great project! My biggest congratulations to the city of New York!

Well, we could ask the same thing about Zen, Dino and other major contributors of the thread; what all of them have in common is that they post only the essential information; which is a good thing, cause it makes the thread much more clean and with less garbage... I would say that if only the important information were posted, the thread would have less than 300 pages... The remaining stuff is pure garbage... like this post, for example Sadly, it's a forum, not a logbook. Keep on-topic.
