There would be a significant reduction of the amount of space. Maybe its not feasible to have a restaurant in that small configure of space possibly. All these questions. Maybe Zen could provide the floor diagrams for floor that the proposed resteraunt will be on. Floor 101 i think it is.
This is sad to hear.

This must be the most followed supertall project!

What I love about 1WTC is that it blends with the surrounding. It doesn't stick out as a sore thumb saying "Hey, look at me! I'm a supertall" Instead of just being an iconic building in a skyline that pops out at you, it balances out the skyline of downtown, heck, the whole Manhattan skyline.

With these additional beems I'm sure WTC1 is now either as tall, or taller than WTC7.

The plans called for the restaurant to occupy the 100th and 101st floors with a big fancy stairway inside the core connecting the two.

That high up in the tower the core is considerably smaller than at ground level and part of the core is actually available to the tenant.

Great stuff !

In several of the pics one can see how the curtain wall is attached to the edge of the floor slab. (Once everthing is set and finished the holes in the floor are to be filled in with non-shrink grout.)

Ya can also see just how dirty the glass is !

How are workers getting up to the higher floors? Are there any make shift temporary internal elevators working at this point or do people ride the external freight elevators?

Thanks,
Bugs
