Yeah guys, the tower's final point should be at 2001 feet, to symbolize the end of the WTC!

Great foresight.

I totally agree. Buildings can be built anywhere but New York
has something most of these cities do not have - history.
Other cities build buildings to appear as if it were a trophy. New York is original and unique.

For me he is just stating (with some sarcasm) what should be obvious in the first place, but apparently isn't.

Total height of 1WTC 1727ft

Total height of OWTC (Freedom Tower) 1776ft

Difference in total height 49ft

Looking at the number 49

How do the floor plans for the skylobby differ from standard office floors? What do the floor plans look like, you mention a floor opening on one of the levels. Which floor will that be on?

A question going out to STR if he is around. Do you have any renders of the skylobby views?

I hope you mean 'feet' instead of meters.

Am I the only one who can't see embedded flickr images anymore? It's not my ISP, as I can't see them from my work computer either. (Firefox and IE affected.)

I can hit Quote and manually copy the image URLs to another browser window and see the images that way.

Hmm... Interesting, same thing happening to me. What's more interesting is that when you right click the little icon and copy the image's URL and open it on another window, you can see the images in the forum once you have refreshed.

Flickr embedding is working in other vBulletin type forums on the net. It must be a malfunction with our forums here.

On the 65th floor there is a large floor opening north of the core. it's about 1/4 the size of the office floor area. So, it's open to the skylobby below.

After doing a few things like pasting the url of the pics in Carlos' post into a new window, then coming back to this page and right clicking on the red X and selectiong "show picture" I got the photos to display.

No doubt about it, I see columns just barely sticking up above #7 so T1 is taller now ! By just a few feet.
