New stuff... After messing arround with SketchUp, I figure it out how to make more detailed models... Although it will never be as good as AutoCad or any other professional 3D modeling software like 3Ds Max or Maya, it can give great results if the materials are done properly.

Lobby rendering, not the final product but it's good enough to me.

EDIT: Another one

I agree . This skyline can do with a few higher towers.

Wow, the Brooklyn bridge is truly amazing... And i'm so glad new York city is building this!

And people, enough. It's been discussed many times before- the twin render looks great but it isn't happening.

I know I'm gonna get some flak for this. But don't get me wrong. I love New York and it's history and it's architecture and everything.

But it kind of disappoints me how nothing without the name "World Trade Center" in it has ever surpassed the ESB, an 80 year old building. What other major world city can say it's tallest building was built in 1931?

I can't think of any. Here's to hoping the new WTC sets off an even larger and taller building boom then anything before!

I'm fairly certain (if my skyscraper knowledge serves me well) that the Eiffel Tower is as of today unsurpassed in Paris, due the height restrictions.

You have a point, but keep in mind that in 1931, when the ESB was built, it was a revolution. It domanited the sky for over 40 years and kicked off the start of the skyscraper race.

So, yes the ESB is very old to still hold a title, but many other countries' tallest supertalls still are not taller than the ESB today.

Can't believe I just noticed this but when walking west on Fulton street (from the South Street Seaport to the A train) I just noticed you see 1 WTC straight ahead. Actually saw it at night with all the construction lights - it was really cool.

Can't believe I never noticed this before.

True. The Chrysler Building preceeded it and was considered the last word...for all of a couple years.
