I am glad this project finally goes forward. I still did my mourning arround five years ago.

the pace of the curtain wall install seems to be slowly catching the fireproofing outfit.

I hope we'll see 67th/68th level steel installed by Memorial Day (Monday, May 30th). That would be exactly 20 days since the last jump, and keeping with the average time it usually takes to install new steel. Maybe it will be even earlier than that.

The floors of the tower not the tower itself, mind you. They already are "octagons" but it has been calculated by members of this forum (the Honored Member Zeensteeldude and myself) that the 72nd floor will be a regular octagon, with all 8 sides equidistant sides. This floor will be reached after three steel "jumps" from now.

Thanks you.

But...why are they "octagons"? I don't really understand.

Someone not too long ago suggested that it is suppose to look like the North Tower and South Tower were combined. And since each of the originals had 4 sides, they gave this one 8 sides

We seriously need a FAQ page...
Patrick, it's the new Fiterman Hall Building, the original was seriously damaged after 9/11.

That is the new Fitterman Hall. They had to demolish the old one due to contamination from dust mold and severe damage from the collapse of the old 7 WTC. The project should cost around $325 million and should be finished sometime in the near future.
