If we count the spires wheres the fuel to have tall buildings?

Another thing is that in North dakota theres a tall mast = spire from ground and up and the mast is almost double the height as empire state building.
WTC1 is unfortunetly only 417 meters because theres where you and I can stand not taller than 1373 feet above the ground. I cannot understand WHY they didn't build a skyscraper that the roof would be 541 meters high = 1776.feet.

And new York is loosing its glory and thats the worst, because I travel alot just to see my passion and thats skyscrapers and The entusiast travels to asia and the arab world. When can USA overtake take back the thrown as having the tallest building in the whole world

I know it's wrong place to discuss this here but You are the fans over wtc thats why I write here. And now I will quite doing that Peace and out.

Hi Tommy.

1 - If the spire is a permanent part of the structure the CTBUH counts it in the height to architectural top - as they should.
They complete the architectural design.

2 - The tall masts are guyed. Still a very tall structure at 629 meters but in a seperate catagory than free standing structures, although I do think they should be included in an overall list of the worlds tallest manmade structures.

3 - This project looks great as designed - instead of why, why not ?

4 - The US will likely never have the WTS title again because there are countries that don't seem to worry about economics. That doesn't take away from the great structures in the US and the fact it paved the way to where we are now.

My ranking lists have always involved the height to tip.
The ESB is 443.2 meters
The Willis Tower is 527 meters
This project will be 541.3 meters

The US will likely never again have a WTS because of FAA height limits, not economics. We have plenty of tycoons that could self-finance a 'world's tallest' but prefer to use their wealth for other purposes.

Man that Beekman tower is an ugly eyesore. It's offensive to look at. Anyway, I think 1 wtc will dominate enough to not make it a problem.

Another reason why people love NY is because of sunsets..At least I do..NY has amazing sunsets..And there's nothing more beautiful than Manhattan skyline on that yellow/orange/red/purple/blue color of the sky..Great shot Carlos..

Tower 1 and 4 seem to fill in a gap whereas the other two look like they will be hidden.
