And the South Tower was 12 feet taller than the new 2WTC. Out of 1350+ feet, I don't think anyone will notice

The more i think about the new WTC the more i think that every month of waiting will be worth it. it will be a masterpiece of architecture and will blend perfectly into the already existing skyline, something that the former trade center failed to do. Honestly, i was one of the bigger haters of the choosen design, i literarely hated it. But it definately has grown on me.

What a wonderful building! Greetings from Wroclaw, Poland. We will also have a nice skyscraper - Sky Tower, the tallest building to the roof in Poland

I'm going studying Philosophy in New York in February 2012. Can't wait to set words on that feeling i get when I walk down to Ground Zero the first time of my life, to see this complex that I have read and followed like a shadow for the past three years on this forum. Anyone have a clue about how tall the tower will be at that point?

I think it'll be topped out by then. I've heard that the tower will top out in Q1 2012, but I'm not sure.

Yup. Bad weather and a long winter have delayed the construction pace.

Question: with two cranes on top of this tower rising with it how do they get them down? I suppose one can be lifted down by the other, but then how do they get the last one off the top of the topped off tower? Do they lift it off with helicopters?

They will put another smaller up which will take the big one down..The smaller one can be lowered with elevators or BMU..

Why wouldn't they just disassemble the last one?
